"Spirit of St. Louis" Mural

The downtown "Sprit of St. Louis" mural is complete!!! The positive feedback from the community has been flooding in. A big thank you to all the students who worked on the mural. They did a tremendous job!! Also I must thank everyone from the downtown community that had a hand in helping make this mural a reality.

Mural In Progress

On the first day of the 2013 summer vacation my students came back to work on the "Spirit of St. Louis" Mural located in downtown St. Louis. It is a work in progress as we will be back in the streets on Monday to continue the hard work.  Stay tuned to watch the progress.

Van’s Custom Culture Competition

 

 This was the first year that our art club competed in the Van’s Custom Culture Competition. The art club received four pairs of blank white Van’s shoes in which they had to design. Each pair of shoes had to represent one of the four categories, Art, Music, Action Sports, and Local Flavor.

TVC Art and Talent Show

 Last night was the annual TVC Art and Talent Show. Each year we get the opportunity to showcase ten of the best works created by St. Louis Art Students. This year’s show was another great one.

Snowfest 2013

This was the second year that we competed in the High School Snow Sculpting competition at Frankenmuth’s Snowfest. The competition consists of a team of four high school students and a snow block with the dimensions of 6ft x 6ft x 8ft. It was a fun jam packed two days filled with amazing learning about team work, problem solving, and hard work. I already am counting down the days till next years competition. So what do you get when you give four students a 6x6x8ft block of snow?
